This Chub is not the small minnow Chub you find in creeks. This is a Lake Michigan Chub, a species that has been caught by commercial fisherman for over a century. They are a type of Lake Herring. In 2010 the last Chubs were caught and smoked in Fishtown, Leland, Michigan and they are now considered endangered. The Chub tile was the 2nd fish that I made into a tile. It was an essential fish to make once I opened Sporck Tileart in Fishtown. The fish plaque tiles can be hung indoor, outdoor, or installed in a backsplash.

The Hand Painted Art Tiles are skillfully hand glazed by Leif and available in a variety of colorful options. The Single Dipped Architectural Tiles are available in the solid colors of Green, Blue or White.
Please note when you place an order via the website understand that the tiles may not be in stock. The artist may need to create the tile to fulfill your order. This process can take a number of weeks. He will communicate with you about the status of your order, so you will know when to expect the delivery.
